    Please note that the last day to submit your Denmark visa application would be the 15 December 2017. The embassy will be CLOSED from the 22 December 2017 to 03 January 2018.

    Example - If you would want to travel to Denmark on the 23 December 2017 or the 24 December 2017, you would be required be lodge your application latest by the 04 December 2017.

    The Danish representations abroad and the Danish Immigration Service cannot currently process visa applications due to a malfunction in the electronic visa system

    The Danish representations abroad and the Danish Immigration Service cannot currently process visa applications due to a malfunction in the electronic visa system VIS at The Agency for Governmental IT Services that supports the IT systems of the Danish Ministry of Immigration, Integration and Housing 

    Due to a malfunction in the electronic visa system VIS, it is currently not possible to process visa applications or to issue visas at the Danish missions abroad or at the Danish Immigration Service. Furthermore, it is not possible to perform digital control of visa holders at Denmark's external Schengen borders.

    Processing Time:

    Visa applications can take an average of 15 days to process once received at the Embassy. An additional of two (2) working days should be taken into consideration which is used to courier the application to and from the Embassy. Passports can be collected on day 17 after submission. Applicants should allow four (4) extra days in delivery time for applications submitted on Fridays.

    Some applications may require further processing, which could take from 30-60 days.

    Please note that all applications are processed individually. The Visa Officer may invite you for an interview or request further documentation or information, which can prolong the processing time.

    Collection Procedure:

    Representatives must provide an original Identification, an Authorization Letter as well as the applicants original Receipt if collecting on behalf of the applicant/s. The Authorization Letter should clearly state the following: -   a) Name of the Representative collecting b) Identity number of the Representative. C) Applicant signature as signed on the application form/receipt.

    Requirements for collection:

    • Original receipt with reference number (no photocopy Allowed)
    • ID / Driver’s License
