Denmark Visa information - South Africa - All About Visas - Non Immigrant Visa - Schengen

The applicable visa fee in South African Rand (R640) is as per the current exchange rate. It is subject to change without notice. The fee is non-refundable.

The following categories of applicants are exempted of Visa fees only :

	Spouse and Dependent Children of EU Nationals (Proof of EU Nationality and relationship with applicants needs to be provided). This is subject to EU treaty rights i.e. Spouse and Dependants can not exercise this exemption when visting country of origin of the EU National.
	Children under 6.
	The Following are also exempt but would require to get confirmation from the consulate directly before submission School pupils, students, post graduate students and accompanying teachers who undertake trips for the purpose of study or educational training Researchers from third countries travelling within the Community for the purpose of carrying out scientific research

There is a service charge of R250 (inclusive of VAT) applicable per application over and above the visa fees for all applicants.

There is a service charge of approximately R240 (inclusive of VAT) applicable per application over and above the visa fees if the application is lodged at the Consulates in Cape Town or Durban. This will have to be paid directly at the Consulate.

The Special Courier facility for the return of processed applications is available at a fee of R100 (Inclusive of VAT) per application. This is an optional service.

The only acceptable modes of payment of Visa fees are by Electronic fund transfers (EFT), internet transfers, and Credit/Debit Card (only at the Visa Application Centre) or in advance cash deposit into our bank account :-

PROCESS

Step 1

Only Short term visas are accepted at the VFS application centre. Please go to the link “All about your Visas” to understand details of Short Stay Visa’s. All applications are processed by VFS.

Step 2

A visa application can be submitted by the Applicant in person only, either to the Denmark Visa Application Centre in Pretoria or to a Danish Consulate in Cape Town or Durban

IMPORTANT

	The visa fee is to be paid in advance and to our bank account before handing in the application. Please remember to bring/submit your deposit slip and please put your passport number as a reference. For applications submitted in person at the Visa Application Centre - it is mandatory to Schedule an appointment to submit your Short Stay application. Please click on the link to make an appointment
	For applications submitted at the Danish Consulates in Cape Town and Durban - Please note there will be an additional fee of approximately R240 when applying from our consulates, and due to the exchange rate, this amount may change.

Step 3

Applications submitted at the Consulates will be couriered to the Danish Embassy in Pretoria for decision.
