Required documents for all visa categories

Please note that the following essentials must be met by all applicants submitting their applications for visa.

At least 6 months valid passport from the date of applying for Schengen Visa is mandatory. If you do not have a blank page to which a visa can be affixed, a new passport or additional pages must be obtained before submitting your application.

Appointment by VFS

Schedule an appointment
We strongly recommend that you schedule an appointment to attend the visa application centre. You will particularly value the appointment facility during the peak summer season when long queues may occur. To book an appointment, please see the 'Schedule an Appointment' page on this website.

If you need to change your appointment please remember to cancel your original appointment. You can only book 1 appointment for each person applying for a visa. If you book more than 1 appointment for each applicant, we may cancel all of your appointments without informing you. This is to stop people making bulk bookings that prevent other customers from getting an appointment.

Walk in service
Applicants can also visit the visa application centre Monday - Friday between 13:00 - 15:00, without making an appointment in advance. When you arrive at the visa application centre you will need to take a token from the machine at the entrance. Applicants will be taken on a first come, first served basis and there may be a limit on the number of visa applicants we are able to see in one day.

Visa Application Processing Time

Attention: Visa application processing times of the Danish Immigration Service (DIS) differs from the stated below. Please visit the Danish Immigration Service for further information

Visa applications not submitted to the DIS for assessment

	Tourist / Business visas: 5 working days
	Group visas: 6 working days

Visa applications submitted to the DIS for assessment 15-30 working days

In case an application needs to be referred to the Danish Immigration Service, processing time will be longer.

Applications submitted in the afternoon hours will be delivered to the Trade Commission of Denmark for assessment on the next working day. In this case, your visa can be collected on the 4th working day. If you have limited time of applying for a visa, please submit your application in the morning before12:00.

Please Note: All applicants may submit their visa application in person or by an authorized tour agent with a signed authorization letter at the visa application centre.
Greenland, Faroe Islands, Iceland, and Norway visa applications are also accepted at the Danish visa application center. Please note the specific destination you are visiting in column 21 of the application form if appropriate.

Processed passports can be collected from The Denmark visa application center in Taipei between 08:00: 12:00 and 13:00 - 15:00. Applicants can instantly track the status of their application by clicking on Track your Application.
